Illustration - Development Process

1.1 Research

For my animal character I have chosen the hare from the story, The Hare and The Tortoise.

I simplified and stylised the hare in my drawing by using circles and oval shapes, adding lines where needed to define whiskers and tail as well as add definition to the hind legs/hip movement. I tried to extend the ears to signify this as a hare rather than a rabbit.
