Here and Now My Lover

Here and Now My Lover

All I have to do is think of you and words flow

Time goes

No-one knows

You entered my life then exited—a number of times

Sipping wine

Discussing crimes

Of days gone by

How did we manage avoidance so that we’d spend so many years apart?

My heart

Your chart

But we didn’t start

Ships in the night with no lighthouse for guidance

No sense

(In a sense)

The essence is clear

As to why we are here

Here and now my lover

Is where we’ll begin our adventure
