7 Reasons Why This Blog Post is on List.ly

listly-logo-1-638Today I’m a step ahead of the one-week #YourTurnChallenge, submitting my post before day 7 has arrived. I have ‘other things’ to do tomorrow and I want to tick this challenge off my list.

Speaking of lists, have you heard of List.ly?

Creative, intuitive, clever, and circular by nature. That’s how I would describe it.

What is List.ly?

According to co-founder Nick Kellet, List.ly is “true social curation with lists as a metaphor.” List.ly is all about creating and curating lists. You can create lists of tips or lists of websites or lists of anything you can think of that your potential clients (or readers) would be interested in. Nick estimates that 30% of blog posts are lists of some kind, and that an even greater percentage of people read those lists.

If you’re a fan of the “7 Reasons Why [insert your subject here]” blog post, List.ly is perfect.

I was fortunate to have met Nick and hear about List.ly first hand. This infographic on shareable content was part of his presentation. If you’re into sharing online, you’ll love this simple explanation as much as I do:

So to complete my turn in the #YourTurnChallenge, I’m making a list. Here are 7 reasons why this blog post is on List.ly.

  1. Monday
  2. Tuesday
  3. Wednesday
  4. Thursday
  5. Friday
  6. Saturday
  7. Sunday

  1. Well done Sue! Nick runs a first class site over at list.ly and most of my posts are list style so I see a potential match. List posts reel in readers. People love information, even if they are suffering from information overload through their consumption lol. Keep up the great work!
